"Be still and know that I am God"

Often times we are stuck magnifying and glorifying multitudes of things that do not come from God. In fact, our walk with God can consist of unnecessary solitude and dwelling in memories or pain that is not our battle to fight, but a battle for God to take care of. If God is so faithful in our life why do we build blocks and fortify the wrong areas of our life when we could seek to inherit his kingdom? So, when Heaven feels miles away remember that God calls us to be unified and seek his Kingdom above all else. Quit the dwelling and ask yourself who is Lord? Is he Lord of my life or the Lord of which I choose? Your answer could easily guide a response to why you may feel distant from truth.

If the meaningless things in life reign over the Lord and his will, observe who or what is ruling your life, and while this will prompt uncomfortable awareness, your innermost thoughts may reveal the idols and anxious worries that are causing this distance to Heaven on earth.

In my life, I have entered seasons where God feels so painfully far. Remember, that the Holy Spirit is not just a feeling, it dwells within you. Essentially, that is the power that true faith allows. Whenever you worry about where God is, remember that he is still speaking to you even in silence.
